Film forming amines adsorb on the metal and form a hydrophobic layer. Less contact between metal and water means less corrosion and less iron transport, in operation and during shutdown.

Leipzig based family business in its second generation, with roots in corrosion protection research at the Institute for Energetics.

ODACON® builds a hydrophobic protective layer on the metal surface: protection in operation, in cycling and immediately after shutdown.

Six service lines built on film forming amine chemistry and analytical control, from water analysis to heat exchanger cleaning.

Water Chemical Service

Analysis of the relevant water chemistry parameters. From that status assessment we build a treatment concept for your specific system.

Power Plant Service

Support across the whole life cycle of the plant: commissioning, continuous operation, flexible dispatch and shutdown periods.

Boiler Water Service

From system filling and fill water treatment to heat exchanger cleaning: the full boiler water scope from one source.

Process and Cooling Water Treatment

Corrosion and deposit control in closed cooling circuits and process water systems, without molybdate or sodium nitrite.

CHP Service

Monitoring, cleaning and conditioning of the circuit water to keep the unit at its design performance.

District Heating

01. Power Plant Statkraft

800 MW combined cycle plant on flexible dispatch with frequent shutdowns. ODACON® cut restart time by about half and iron in the IP section by 70 percent.

02. Fertilizer Plant Rotem

Waste heat boilers and kilometres of steam and condensate lines, with acid ingress from leaking heat exchangers. ODACON® brought boiler water iron from 0.2 to 0.05 ppm.

03. Waste to Energy Romania

Cyclic operation with shutdowns of several weeks. ODACON® reduced corrosion during shutdown and cut restart iron from about 0.08 to below 0.02 ppm.
